STEP 1: Comprehensive Medical Assessment
Dr. Kristina Zakhary, the principal facial plastic surgeon, personally assesses each patient’s skin condition through a detailed facial skin and health history, review of previous treatments and skin examination.
STEP 2: Individualized Treatment Program
Dr. Kristina Zakhary will design an individualized Facial Skin Treatment Program for each patient which might include some or all of the following:
Medical Skin Care Program is a customized at home daily regimen consisting of medical grade skin care products to optimize treatment effects and maintain the best results possible. Programs are customized for each patient to ensure they are using the best products for their individual skin care needs.
Prescription Medications might be prescribed in conjunction with skin treatments as part of our multifaceted approach to maximize results in a short period of time.
Epidermal Peels are topical preparations including glycolic acid and TCA which act to improve skin surface texture and pigmentation. The procedure takes 20 minutes and patients can immediately return to regular activities.
This program can be used for:
- Most age groups -Most skin colors (white, oriental, black, etc.)
- Most skin types (thick or thin, oily or dry)
- Not just the face, but also for other areas of the body, such as the hands, neck, chest, etc.
This treatment usually :
- Causes no pain, only some discomfort
- Produces natural-looking skin (and not a waxy or artificial look)
- Results in a normal skin (and not a whitish face that contrasts with the rest of the body)
- Does not use phenol (a toxic substance to the heart and kidneys)
This skin treatment consists of two phases :
PHASE 1: The skin preparation pre-peel program, lasting for 4 to 8 weeks.
PHASE 2 : The "light", "medium" or "concentrated" peel
The Peel Program (Light, Medium or Concentrated)
The peel program is an absolutely essential step after the preparation stage in order to fix the improvement of your skin permanently.
This program consist of painting the skin with an exfoliating irritant solution (e.g: trichloracetic a., glycolic a.). Dr. Kristina Zakhary performs 3 types of peels :
- "Light" is low in concentration and yields a mild degree (10 to 15%) of improvement.
- "Medium" is moderate in concentration and results in moderate (15 to 25%) improvement.
- "Concentrated" is high in concentration and produces a considerable (40 to 50%) improvement.
STEP 3: Results
Up to 95 % of fine lines, wrinkles and furrows can be improved but results vary from patient to patient. There is also an improvement in overall skin texture and tone and a more rested appearance.
COSTS
Since every SkinTreatment Program is custom designed for each patient, the cost will vary. A quote will be given during consultation. Prices start at $150 per treatment.
